SGB attorney Andy Boes spoke with Law360 following a King County Superior Court ruling holding Beehive Espresso owner Alan Tagle liable for more than $1.8 million in back pay, penalties, and interest owed to a class of 70 bikini baristas.

In the article, Boes discusses the case and why he believes it reflects the justice system at its best: holding an employer accountable for exploiting workers. He also noted that the award likely represents only a fraction of what Tagle profited from the unlawful wage practices over time.

SGB attorneys Lindsay Halm and Andy Boes, along with Janae Choquette of Working Washington Rights Center, represented the class of bikini baristas.
