SGB attorney Lindsay Halm delivered opening statements in a class action against Beehive Espresso owner Alan Tagle.

The class, which was certified in 2025 and includes roughly 70 current and former Beehive baristas, claims that Tagle shorted their pay and tips, failed to meet minimum wage and paid sick leave requirements, and illegally barred them from working part-time for competitors, in violation of Washington's anti-moonlighting law.

Lindsay told the court: "Mr. Tagle may be in the coffee business, but he traffics in something else entirely — wages and tips."

Lindsay is joined on the case by SGB attorney Andrew Boes.
