In addition, Washington State firearm laws are evolving in ways that are creating more opportunities to hold gun manufacturers, sellers, and owners accountable for the harm caused by their weapons.

In 2023, new legislation was passed that creates a pathway for victims and survivors of gun violence to hold the firearm industry accountable for wrongful and dangerous business practices and ensure that victims have a method to seek justice.
