SGB Attorney Lindsay Halm Named Chair of Washington Employment Lawyers Association
SEATTLE – Schroeter Goldmark & Bender (SGB) is proud to congratulate attorney and shareholder Lindsay Halm on being appointed Chair of the Washington Employment Lawyers Association (WELA).
WELA is a statewide organization of attorneys, law professors, paralegals and law students dedicated to protecting and advancing employee rights. The organization works to promote workplace fairness by increasing public awareness of employee rights, strengthening legal representation for workers and advocating for employees before courts and legislative bodies.
Throughout her career, Lindsay has been a fierce advocate for individuals facing wage theft, workplace discrimination and other violations of their rights. Whether representing an individual employee or hundreds of workers in a class action, she is committed to holding employers accountable and fighting for the rights of those who have been treated unfairly.
“Every worker deserves dignity, fairness and the full protection of the law, regardless of the work they do,” said Halm. “But those protections only mean something when workers have the ability to enforce them. WELA plays a critical role in supporting the legal professionals who stand up for employees, challenge unlawful practices, and hold employers accountable. I'm honored to help lead that work and continue advancing the rights of Washington workers.”
As WELA Chair, Lindsay will bring her experience advocating for workers to the organization's ongoing efforts to strengthen employee protections and support the attorneys who represent them. Lindsay is joined on the WELA Board by fellow SGB attorney Diego Rondon-Ichikawa, who serves as the organization’s CLE Co-Chair.
