SGB Attorney Elizabeth Hanley Elected as AAJ’s Council of Presidents Secretary
SEATTLE – Schroeter Goldmark and Bender (SGB) is proud to announce that attorney Elizabeth Hanley was elected as secretary of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Council of Presidents.
“I’m honored to join colleagues from across the country in AAJ’s Council of Presidents, and welcome the opportunity to continue representing the interests of the Washington residents and communities that WSAJ member firms like SGB serve, now at a national level,” said Hanley.
The AAJ’s Council of Presidents forum brings together the current, incoming, and immediate past presidents of each state’s Trial Lawyer Association (TLA). The forum’s mission is to support TLAs and their members through legislative advocacy, research initiatives, and grassroots organizing aimed at opposing legislation that undermines civil justice.
In addition to her election as secretary for AAJ’s Council of Presidents, Hanley was also appointed by incoming AAJ President Bruce Plaxen to serve on the organization’s National Finance Council. Her role with the council includes guiding AAJ’s fundraising initiatives to ensure the organization remains well-resourced, effective, and responsive to its members’ needs.
“I'm looking forward to serving on both the Council of Presidents and National Finance Council where I’ll be focused on advancing and supporting or state and national trial lawyer associations’ efforts to protect individuals’ rights, strengthen access to justice, and support the critical work of trial lawyers across the country,” said Hanley.
