Schroeter Goldmark & Bender Donates $100,000 to Pushing Boundaries
SEATTLE — Schroeter Goldmark & Bender (SGB) has donated $100,000 to Pushing Boundaries, a local nonprofit helping people living with paralysis and neurological movement disorders build strength, improve function and gain independence.
Pushing Boundaries is the only Activity Based Therapy Center in the Puget Sound region providing specialized, individualized therapy to people living with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes and other neurological conditions.
Through SGB’s work representing people who have suffered catastrophic injuries, the firm has seen firsthand the challenges individuals and their families can face as they adjust to life after an accident. Access to specialized programs and ongoing support can make a truly meaningful difference along the way.
“We represent people who've had their lives change in an instant due to spinal cord injuries and brain injuries, and we know that what happens after a life-changing injury extends far beyond a hospital stay or a legal case,” said Thomas Breen, attorney and shareholder at Schroeter Goldmark & Bender. “Pushing Boundaries gives people a place to keep rehabilitating, with a team that is equipped to help them reach their goals. We’re proud to support that work, and we hope this gift encourages others to learn more about Pushing Boundaries and support them, too.”
The $100,000 donation will support Pushing Boundaries’ exercise therapy programs and its work serving people with paralysis and neurological movement disorders throughout the Puget Sound region.
“We are so grateful for the support that SGB has given us,” said Amanda Koppes, Interim Executive Director at Pushing Boundaries. “Having a partner that implicitly understands the challenges that our clients face every day, and is committed to helping Pushing Boundaries continue to be a place where they can find not only exercise, but hope, community and belonging, means everything.”
