Elizabeth Hanley in The Seattle Times – WA patients sue OB-GYN, alleging medical and sexual abuse

Feb 20, 2026

On Friday, SGB’s Elizabeth Hanley and co-counsel, Tamara Holder of Tamara Holder Law, were featured on the front page of The Seattle Times for their representation of women harmed by Tri-Cities OB-GYN, Dr. Mulholland.

At least 17 women have filed lawsuits against Mulholland in King County Superior Court since August, detailing alleged instances of sexual abuse under the guise of medical care. Additional claims target his former employer, Providence Health & Services, for failing to respond to more than two decades of patient complaints.

Elizabeth and Tamara are representing more than 200 patients, advocating for their rights, and holding both Mulholland and institutional actors accountable for alleged misconduct.

For survivors of medical and sexual abuse, the civil justice system is often the only path to accountability, transparency, and healing.

We stand with these patients and commend the courageous individuals who have shared their stories in the pursuit of justice. Thank you to The Seattle Times for your reporting on this important matter.
